Minimize Risk, Avoid Change Orders, and Design Confidently with 3D Scanning Services.
Building projects are often held back by uncertainty and misalignment – we provide 3D laser scanning, 3D modeling, and drone mapping and photogrammetry services designed to eliminate design confusion so architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers can realize their dream projects. Taking on building projects of all sizes, our 3D scanning services take out the guesswork and give you confidence in every decision.
How Does TrueScanTM Work?
When our technicians arrive on-site, the process begins with laser scanning, capturing millions of measurements every second, and documenting every spec of your project into a digital map that you can explore inside and out. Then, based on your company's needs, we can either turn your scan into a fully comprehensive digital model or turn a complete point cloud over to you. Either way, you see the good side of your project, and, most likely, the bad side too. The benefit of seeing all sides of your project is knowing what you're up against and having the extra details needed to succeed. In order to do what you do best, you need the best information available. Misalignments and miscalculations can throw even the simplest of projects off-kilter. Providing you with consistent, precise, and accurate data is what we do best to make sure your dream project is realized.

With a team of professional surveyors and USIBD certified professionals, TrueScan provides 3D laser scanning services that help you document your room, building, or structure efficiently and accurately. Instead of working with outdated building plans or field measurements, with 3D laser scanning technology all of your designs are based on true-to-life measurements and conditions. These are just some of the benefits a 3D scanning company like TrueScan provides:
Quick and Efficient Documentation of Reality
Simplify Complex Environments
Reduce Change Orders
Manage Project Risk

Keeping it Simple: How Does 3D Scanning Work?
The simplest explanation is: 3D laser scanning works a lot like a camera. When our team scans a building or structure, we set up a scanner and it slowly turns in a circle. As it turns, an exceptionally advanced camera captures a measurement of everything it can see around it. We then pick up the scanner, move to a new location, and capture measurements from that location. Each scan collects millions of points of data that our veteran scanning technicians stitch together. As a result, we are able to create a complete digital picture that creates an overall representation of the site. Whether we deliver that data to you in a point cloud or a digital model, you are able to move about the space and capture the measurements of literally anything – providing much more complete information than is available to you from any other source.
Just like hitting “save as” on a document, 3D laser scanning services produce a scan that captures the current state of a building, capturing every nuance and spatial relationship. This accounts for misalignments and uncertainties, letting you focus on making sure your project moves and succeeds smoothly.
We had never used laser scanning or worked with a point cloud before. TrueScan – and in particular Jared – really held our hand at the beginning helping us learn to crawl before we learned to walk. He guided us through the whole process, before we even knew the questions we needed to be asking.”

3D Scanning Services with A Team You Can Trust.
We are a team of licensed surveyors and USIBD professionals, backed by a 3D scanning company with decades of experience in measurement science.
We use the latest long-range 3D scanning equipment and practices.
Usability is extremely important to us. We’ll train you on how to use the information we provide and will often do on-site visits to make sure you are happy.
We’ve completed hundreds of projects, including many that are large and complex. But, we work with small companies too and will work with you to provide you exactly what you need to keep costs reasonable.
How Much Are Project Unknowns Costing You?
In the past, if you wanted to know the actual measurements of a building as opposed to what was supposed to be built, you had to visit the building and take one measurement at a time. Once a building is scanned with 3D scanning, all that data is available to you in the digital record. Want to know the slope of the floor? Check the scan. How many light fixtures are in the space? Check the scan. How is the HVAC routed? Check the scan. Even better, share the point cloud so every member of your team has access.
And not only that, but we are able to scan faster, safer, and more accurately than you can collect measurements. Now that the cost of 3D laser scanning services is much more affordable, how much are project unknowns costing you?
