As part of their continual documentation efforts, Walmart grocery stores contracted TrueScan to coordinate and provide detailed 3D laser scanning services for multiple Walmart stores across the United States. Scanning 38 store locations across nine states, TrueScan’s expedited and non-intrusive process provided Walmart with the necessary project information without needing to close down any site. TrueScan continuously delivered extensive point clouds and Revit models to Walmart’s design team as they scanned various stores, helping Walmart keep their deadlines and timelines tight and on schedule.

The team scanned over three million SF in just six short weeks throughout the entire process. The TrueScan team quickly proved the speed, accuracy, and cost-effective value of 3D laser scanning to Walmart.
