Nippert Stadium Renovation

Nippert Stadium, home of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, required a complex renovation in which structural foundation components had to be installed through the existing stadium seating deck. The University of Cincinnati design team needed information in both a quick and accurate manner so they contacted TrueScan. The UC team needed to determine the placement of the structural components while also minimizing the impact on existing components and mechanical systems. To help understand this, TrueScan used 3D laser scanning to capture and model the areas below the stadium seating. TrueScan performed scans over the course of three days, and, once all data was registered, TrueScan provided the architecture team with both a detailed point cloud and comprehensive Revit models.
