Deliverables:
The revitalization team needed accurate documentation of a historic building with complex interior and exterior conditions.
Capturing the full theater and surrounding area using traditional methods would have made it more difficult to create a complete, coordinated record for the project team.
TrueScan scanned the interior and exterior of the Sorg Opera House, as well as the surrounding streetscape, over the course of two days.
The collected data was registered into a detailed point cloud that documented the building and nearby site conditions.
The point cloud gave planners, architects, and engineers a digital reference they could use to study the building’s existing conditions throughout the revitalization process.
