Historic Sorg Opera House

TrueScan’s extensive experience working within delicate historical spaces allowed them to provide valuable data to assist with the ongoing renovation of the historic Sorg Opera House in Middletown, Ohio. In support of a group that hopes to revitalize the historic building, TrueScan supplied 3D laser scanning to capture existing conditions of the theater to serve as a digital record of the space. Then detailed point cloud was used by planners, architects, and engineers working on the project to better understand the complexities and nuances of the space. TrueScan’s team scanned both the exterior and interior of the theater and surrounding area to capture every feature. After just two days of scanning, the entire building and the surrounding streetscape were completely documented and made available to the revitalization group and its partners.
